We found Bowra & O’Dea to be professional and sympathetic at what was a very difficult time for our family. Our options were clearly explained and Bowra & O’Dea were happy to go the extra mile to accommodate all of our individual and very specific requirements. The facilities are excellent and the staff we had assisting us were all very emotionally intelligent and conscientious. From our initial contact everyone acted appropriately and treated all the family and our attendees with the utmost respect. We were very impressed with the service provided and the final send off for Dad.

Thankyou to Bill, Arnold and the whole team at Bowra and O'Dea for making a very sad occasion easier to cope with. From the first phone call on a Sunday morning to a very sypathetic person on the other end of the phone right up until the customer service received long after the event. Nothing was too hard for the staff and I found everyone to be caring and professional at all times (even having to work in suits with masks on in extremely hot weather conditions). I would not hesitate in recommending Bowea & O'Dea to anyone.

Professional, compassionate and great. communication. We arranged my father's funeral here and it was flawless. They offered a range of services, but were not pushy. We felt we had control over the funeral, but always had access to their advice. The video streaming service was high quality and appreciated. The costs were reasonable (good) for such a professional service. Certainly had no regrets. Flawless.

Cannot express my greatest disappointed dealing with such unprofessional and disrespectful people. In a time were grandma unexpectedly passed away, we wanted a very simple and small service in a time specific to reflect the cultural significant of her final farewell. What we got was a hard sell and a big no. Instead of trying to accommodate our cutural needs, they just gave us a sales pitch and that all of Perth is booked out for cremation on our required day and could only get it done a day after service at the very earliest (could have been even the day after that). This I never heard of. He kept on ensuring that is the only way and he got 30 years. Experience in what??? Selling used cars maybe. Because they use similar sales technique. We were ensured repeatedly that he has done many cultural significant funerals, but clearly that was not the case. Rather than finding a solution to meet the cultural importance of time after death, we got cross selling attempt by trying to branch out into estate planning. And become very condescending in the process. When we asked to speak privately within the family would not actually give us the privacy to do so. Instead we had to step out ... But he had the audacity to give us a lecture on privacy and used that as an excuse to explain why we cannot get the cremation done in time. Yes, I know makes absolutely no sense. But it is what is. His pushy car salesman style in combination of deceitful information about bookings being available within Perth metro area caused strive and divide between our family. I wish this was all recorded for training and used as example of what not to do. Point is. We ended up going else where that manged to get a service and even cremation done to meet our cutural needs. Please anyone that reads this don't fall for the fake positive reviews from their friends most likely. Go anywhere else. Cannot be worse then these people. To the company thank you for the free parking. I know you are so proud of that.

The team at Bowra and O’Dea Hilton conducted my fathers funeral with the upmost respect. Diana took the stress out of organising our first funeral. Nothing was too much to ask for, on what I now know was very short notice. On the day, they completely took care of us, and everything was organised so well - we didn’t even notice the staff. It allowed us to grieve privately and comfortably, whilst they had everything controlled seamlessly behind the scenes. What was such a sad time was made easier by the hard work from your staff. I couldn’t recommend anyone else.

What a shame. There seems to be a disconnect with the person doing the planning (in mandurah) and support and follow up (none) and the person (Shane) directing on the day in hilton. Sadly, a family member blamed themselves for not calling to check on the plan. That person has recently gone through serious medical issues. And had just lost a family member and was trying to plan a funeral. I thought it was the business of funeral directors to call in and confirm these things?So things went wrong.When I asked what's going on, I got a company line...don't admit to mistake. I was told we will find out who's at fault tomorrow. When confronted with being asked to offer some support by an upset family member (that is stop talking..and get some help) the family member was acused of being abusive.My years of training in business and counselling informed me u can apologise when things go wrong and offer support to difuse stress without admiting fault. It's called compassion and offering support. I think a review of training in diffusing stressful situations would be helpful.
